Class A Structural Welder

LOCATION:

Inola, OK

JOB SCOPE / PURPOSE:

• To safely weld structural assemblies with high quality fillet and full penetration welds using Flux Cored and MIG welding.
• The assemblies primarily consist of plate steel and structural shapes (beam, channel, & angle).

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure assigned tasks are performed safely and with a high level of quality.
• Basic knowledge of setting parameters on FCAW and GMAW equipment and following a procedure.
• Mostly carbon steel and 300 series stainless steel welding.
• Welding in all positions in a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate with Leads and Supervisors about safety, quality, and integrity.
• Working with Class B and Class C welders to improve their knowledge and skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Tools, equipment, and heavy machinery are used.
• Most work is indoors, although some will be outside.
• Work area is noisy and temperatures fluctuate with the seasons.
• Physical lifting and use of overhead cranes are required.
• Proper PPE is required.
• May periodically use computers for training purposes.
